OBJECTIVE
Today we are playing Sneak Attack II. In this game, the objective is to get to the end line without getting tagged.
INSTRUCTIONS
- I will select five guards (taggers).
- Before the game begins, everyone will up on the baseline shoulder-to-shoulder. The guards will face backwards by the end line.
- When I say, “GO!” you must try and get to the end line without getting tagged.
- If you are tagged or go out-of-bounds, you become a guard.
- The guards may turn around at any point and tag you.
- Guards can only use a two-finger butterfly tag.
- If you get to the end line without being tagged, you are safe.
- We will begin a new round after everyone has either made it back to the baseline or has been tagged.
TEACHING TIPS
- Approach:
- Remind guards the longer they wait with their backs turned, the easier it will be to tag the runners because they will be closer to them.
- Depending on class size, increase or decrease the number of guards.
- For increased difficulty have students wear flags.
