STORYLINE
Today we are playing Sneak Attack. Your goal is to get to the end line without getting tagged.

INSTRUCTIONS

• I will select five guards (taggers).
• Before the game begins, everyone will up on the baseline shoulder-to-shoulder. The guards will face backwards by the end line.
• When I say, “GO!” you must try and get to the end line without getting tagged.
• If you are tagged or go out-of-bounds, you become a guard.
• The guards may turn around at any point and tag you.
• Guards can only use a two-finger butterfly tag.
• If you get to the end line without being tagged, you are safe.
• We will begin a new round after everyone has either made it back to the baseline or has been tagged.

TEACHING TIPS

• Approach:
  • Remind guards the longer they wait with their backs turned, the easier it will be to tag the runners because they will be closer to them.
  • Depending on class size, increase or decrease the number of guards.
