STORYLINE
Today we are playing Charades. Your goal is to make it to the end line without getting tagged.
INSTRUCTIONS
- I will select a tagger.
- Before the game begins, line up on the baseline shoulder-to-shoulder.
- When I say, “GO!” the tagger will decide which charade or motion you must do from the baseline to the end line (i.e. walking backwards, spinning, jumping jacks, hopping on one foot, high-knee skips, lunges, sliding sideways, galloping, etc.).
- The tagger must also do the same motion while trying to tag you.
- Taggers must use a two-finger butterfly tag.
- If you are the first one tagged, you become the tagger the next round and decide what charade everyone must perform.
- If you get to the end line without being tagged you are safe.
- If you intentionally try to get tagged you will not be the tagger the next round.
TEACHING TIPS
- Approach:
- For increased difficulty have students wear flags.
