STORYLINE
Today we are playing Jr. Olympics. Your goal is to work together with your teammates to compete in different Olympic events.

INSTRUCTIONS

  • I will divide you into two teams.
  • During each Olympic event you must nominate three students from your team to compete and three students to judge.
  • If you are competing you take your place at one of the marker cones.
  • If you are judging, you must stand behind one person on the opposing team.
  • I will announce the event once each team chooses their competitors and judges.
  • When I say, “GO!” you will have one minute to complete the challenge.
  • The judges will count how many tasks you complete.
  • At the end of each event you must select three new competitors and three new judges for the next event.
  • At the end of each event I will keep a running tally.
  • The team with the most points wins the Olympics.

Game 1: Play as indicated above. Olympic events can be: sit-ups, pushups, plank, yoga pose, handstands, mountain climbers, jumping jacks, bridge holds, burpees, etc.
